Contracts

Trident continuously bids on various government contracts as a prime contractor or sub-contractor. It is also the holder of GSA Information Technology schedule 70 and pursues GSA contracts. Some of the major prime contracts of Trident and its joint ventures are as follows:

GISS

Trident is the prime contractor to NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) located in New York City providing scientific, engineering and technology services to NASA in cooperation with Columbia University. The GISS contract was awarded in 2012 for a value of $15.1 million to Trident’s Joint Venture Trinnovim, LLC. to manage and support the Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS) in New York.

Through this contract, Trident provides Administrative and Support services to NASA and manages the NASA staff in accomplishing research and development in climate change studies, earth observation and global weather research. In this contract Trident manages a group of highly skilled PhD’s, scientists and modelers for leading edge research of the above disciplines.

Goddard Visitor Center

Trident contracts with the NASA Goddard Visitor Center. We provide Education, STEM Outreach and Administrative management services to the Visitor Center. Trident’s role involves General Administration and Operations, Public Outreach, Education Resource Canter (ERC) and Marketing Communications. There are over 60,000 visitors each year to the Visitor Center and Trident has an active role in facilitating and accommodating these visitors. The contract is for 5 years and is valued at $4 million.

Heliophysics

The Heliophysics Contract is or $4 million and was awarded in March of 2015 at Goddard to Trident’s Joint Venture Trinnovim, LLC. In this contract, we provide all the necessary scientific support for the laboratory and Trident also provides PMO services to this effort. Scientists in the Heliophysics Science Division develop models, spacecraft missions and instruments, and systems to manage and disseminate Heliophysical data. They interpret and evaluate data gathered from instruments, draw comparisons with computer simulations and theoretical models, and publish the results. The Division also conducts education and public outreach programs to communicate the excitement and social value of NASA Heliophysics. We support all such activities with our staff at the Heliophysics division.

TIDES

The Technology and Integrated Discipline Engineering Services (TIDES) contract for a total value of $114 million was awarded in September of 2015 to Trident’s Joint Venture Trident Vantage Systems, LLC . In this contract, we provide Mission and instrument Systems Engineering (M&ISE) services and related work to the Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate's (AETD) Mission Engineering & Systems Analysis Division (MESAD) and related organizations throughout GSFC as required for the formulation, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification, and operations of guidance, navigation and control (GN&C) space flight and guidance system hardware and software, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions.

The emphasis in engineering services is in the area of guidance, navigation, and control systems, which includes GN&C systems engineering, Attitude Control Systems (ACS) hardware and software development, and propulsion engineering and development.
